A meditation on making and on motherhood
Spend Mother’s Day with your daughter or daughters and/or with your mother. Or come with a friend to celebrate the memory of a mother or the longing for one. Or alone to make something for your mother and/or for your daughter. Or come with the anticipation of a child. Or to honor our biggest Mother : Earth!
Bring mementos that are meaningful to you; a grandmother’s pendant, a mother’s table cloth, the lace from a baby dress, beads, pearls, silver, gold, crystals, stones, an old watch, a flower, a poem, a letter, feathers, seeds…. Any fragments or keepsakes that are meaningful to you in honoring motherhood. Bring whatever you’re curious to explore. I will guide you in finding ways of transforming your mementos into something new. Together we will share on the beauty of motherhood and the many stories that emerge.
We will make dream catchers, shrines in themselves of memories past and of future dreams to have.
I will provide the loop and other materials and a nurturing, supportive atmosphere of creative flow and exploration. Light snacks, a garden lunch and refreshments will be included.
Join us to celebrate Mother’s Day in the spirit of creation and connection! Each creation will be unique!
