Would I be private or would I be public?
How many people would I invite into me. Into the depths of my rooms, through the doors of my body. Through the door of my spirit. Into the garden of my soul. .
If I was a house, would I travel?
Would I go places or would I only be put. Grounded, attached, anchored, footed, held down, fenced in, gated in. Adjacent and conforming. Or could I move, dance, draw, dream, travel, make love, eat, gain weight, get sad, cry, get old, smile, have children, die.

The imagery of Notre Dame of Paris burning in flames made my body shake and my eyes fill with tears. The image of the twin towers in New York City falling filled me with grief.
